We made it through the weekend without to many horrible rows. Actually had
a really wonderful day yesterday, where the whole family took a walk down
to the one open (pretty much everything else was closed due to All Hallow's
Day holiday here in Sweden) used bookstore close to Götaplatsen, and dad

Sister and I celebrated Gustav II Adolf Day by sharing the one and last gustav-cake they had left at the bakery (same kind as last year, and you'll find a pic and more of a write up about the historic background and why we eat cake in my post from then here), and I had even managed to almost destroy it on the way home. Today it's 377 years since king Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden was killed  in the foggy smog of the Battle of Lützen in 1632. As a Gothenburger born and bred I had to celebrate our special day - "Gustav II Adolf dagen" - when we commemorate  the death of Gustav II Adolf  at the Battle of Lützen on the 6th of November 1632.
